The Night was Gross and Stormy. Jocelyn hated Stormy Nights, basically because she had no one to spend them with. She was waiting patiently for Charles to show up at her apartment. To everyone else he was Snipe, but to her he was just plain old Charles. The Story behind Charles. .Well, Half a year ago, Jocie got this rude knock at her door. It was about two a.m. so she didn't know what was going on. She opened her door only to be shot at. She didn't get hit or anything, just scared shitless. Her shooter slipped a letter under her door that stated that she was meant to die. Just like her father. She had no where to turn but to the Jacko's. They cared about her, even though she wasn't officially "in" the gang. They respected her just like they did her father. Well, the Jacko's didn't take to the threat lightly. They assigned "Snipe" or Charles to protect Jocie no matter what. The Jacko's Leader set her up in Fox Hollow where they could keep a better eye on her.
Jocie, and Snipe hit it off really well. No they didn't fall in love or anything weird like that. He just vowed to watch over her like a hawk. Like a Big Brother. She of course didn't object to the love that he showed her. Jocelyn cares about Charles like he is family, which they might as well be. He is with her almost 24/7.
Jocie sighed as her lights flickered out. "Just Fucking Great." She said getting up off the couch to grab her flashlight. She grabbed it off the counter in the kitchen and grabbed her lighter too. She light a few candles in every room. "Hell, I Might as well Get In the Shower." she said to herself.
Jocie headed to her room and stripped herself of all clothing. She plugged her ipod into her computer speakers and carried them into the bathroom. She sighed and hung a towel over the shower curtain. She looked at herself in the mirror and looked at her side. There was a small birthmark there. It was the same as her fathers. It looked like a teardrop. Jocie made herself forget about the mark, and turn on the shower. She Cranked up her Ipod. The Song was Hollywood Whore by: Papa Roach.
She sang along to the music and jumped into the shower.
As she finished her shower she grabbed her towel and dried off. She walked into her room, and grabbed one of Snipe's shirts off of the dresser. He slept over sometimes, no big deal. She slipped the shirt over her body and pulled on a pair of panties. A pair of white ankle socks covered her feet and she brought the music into the living room. She cranked it a little louder and put it on a song she could dance to. Achy Breaky Heart Blasted through her small speakers. She laughed and started to dance around in her living room.

Drenched head to toe, although he was a major member of the gang and pushed his own drugs he still didn't find the time to learn how to drive or save up enough to get his own car. It really came back at him during nights like these when he had to walk so far through a long list of mansions and nice apartments just to get to Jocelyn's place. Then the power to all the streetlights and apartments around him was knocked out. Just great, now he couldn't see where he was going in the dark.
Making her way to her apartment he went up to her door and knocked when he first got there like he usually did, not wanting to scare her by just suddenly barging in, even if she did give him permission by this point. When she didn't answer though being the type of big brother he was he automatically assumed the worst. She after all just invited him over so he expected her to be at the door when he arrived. If she didn't come to the door right away he figured something must have been wrong. It didn't help the power was cut out the whole street, the perfect chance in the dark to catch everyone off guard if they were going to go after her.
Taking out his key she gave him he quickly opened the door and jumped into the house. When he got in he heard the shower running and not making a sound sneaked into the bathroom where he saw her peacefully showering. Closing the door again making sure she didn't notice his arrival he went over the couch and sat down on it waiting for her. As he heard her get out of the shower he thought of saying something but decided it was more fun to keep his mouth shut and just observe her for as long as possible.
As she then made her way into the same room as him he smirked at the fact that she didn't even notice him sitting there starring at her. He was trained to sneak around as well as he did so it was no surprise, just fun. As she suddenly started to dance to that hokey country song in one of his shirts he finally pipped up. "You should go clubbin' in that shirt, I think it's hot. I have to admit whoever got you that shirt really has a good sense of fashion."
As she looked over at him he didn't get out of the couch. Instead he sat there with his arms open for her to walk over to him and hug him.

Jocelyn didn't even notice Charles sitting on her couch until he scared the shit out of her. "You should go clubbin' in that shirt, I think it's hot. I have to admit whoever got you that shirt really has a good sense of fashion." She twirled around on her heel and looked at him with his arms open waiting for his hug. She went to walk towards him and slipped. She yelped as she fell on her butt. Jocie couldn't even stand up, mainly because she was laughing. "Well, I think I might just go clubbing in this shirt sir. It's Sexier on me then you." she said sticking out her tounge, and laughing. She stood up slowly trying not to fall again. She slid to him and sat on his lap. "Hey there bubba." she said hugging him close. She pulled away quickly. "Gross, You are all wet." she said standing up.
Jocie stood up and walked to the kitchen she opened the fridge and bent down to get herself a coke. She grabbed one for Charles too. She reached into the cabinet and took out a pack of oreo's and a bag of hot cheetos. When she walked back into the living area she noticed Charles wasn't there. "Snipe?" she said softly. She looked around and saw him no where. "What the Hell Charles, come on. You Know this shit freaks me out." she said sitting on the couch flipping open her cell phone. She read through her text and waited for Snipe to come out of hiding.

As he fell to the ground he extended his arms out for her to get up again but as he saw her get up again he just extended his arms out for her to hug once again. As she then fall into his lap he gave her a real tight teddy bear hug but then as she suddenly started to squirm away he let go no sure why she suddenly had the change of heart. He laughed though when she complained about how wet he was. "What? Am I not just that much sexier wet?" He was joking around with her of course. Half the jokes they did with each other were mild sex jokes, mostly because they were so comfortable with each other they could joke about that with each other all the time.
Being in a playful mood though, which was a little more rare, as it meant he was in a good mood and the guy was hardly ever in a good mood. He was far to serious of a guy to be in a good mood all of the time but being around friends could always easily lift his spirits, especially while he felt safe, which again wasn't all that often. As she went and got them both a coke he went under the couch and hid there until she returned. When she complained about him he ignored her but as she sat on the couch he smirked, she couldn't have picked a more perfect place. From that he reached out his hand and suddenly grabbed her ankle. "You scare so easily."
Then rolling out from under the couch laughing he sat on the couch next to her, swiftly grabbing his coke and opening it at the same time. Then grabbing the food he shoved a bunch if oreos in his mouth. He was obviously hungry. The guy was always hungry because of his large size and the fact that he not only never found the time to shop for himself but could barley afford it half the time. He always took advantage at Jocie's house. "So did you have anything planned for tonight or just wanna hang?" He said that like he was anxious to go do something else. Jocie new the truth though, he would have just starred off into space all night saying nothing to nobody doing nothing, or target practice, once again saying nothing to nobody.

A Hand grabbed her ankle and she laughed knowing it was him. When he made a joke about her scaring easy she just had to use her sarcasm. "Hmm, well I don't see anyone giving you death threats there bub." she said. Jocelyn looked at him, but couldn't keep a straight face. "Alright Alright I know, I'm a Wuss." she said raising her hands in defeat. "But, you know you love my scared ass." she said kissing his cheek.
Jocelyn went to take a sip of coke, but ended up spitting it out in front of herself. Charles had stuffed about four Oreo's in his mouth. "Dude Charles, you have chocolate all over your face." she said trying to clean the soda off her chin. She always had alot of fun with him. She felt so safe and easy around Charles. She knew that what he said he meant, and if not, well the rest of the Jacko's would have his ass on a silver platter.
He questioned her plans."What do you have something better to do, other than sit here and hang out with me?" she said with a small pout. Again she couldn't keep a straight face. The chocolate on his face was just too much for her. "Alright Babe, You have got to get that off your face." she said shaking her head. The lights flickerd back on and Jocelyn smiled. "Fuck Yeah!" she yelled slightly.
She skipped over to the T.V and put it on video mode. She looked through her DVD collection and picked out Fired Up She stuck it in and waited on Charles' reaction.

As she told him exactly what he knew already the expression didnt change on his face as he continued to stretch his jawbones and take long slow bites with his mouth closed. He opened it to quickly talk to her, even if it was full of food. "Sni" What he meant to say to her was his nickname Snipe but he had a full mouth and couldn't pronounce hard consonants at the time. This was usually for him though as even though she constantly called him Charles he didn't like when anybody called him by his real name, it reminded him to much of his past, so every time she called him Charles he corrected her. It was pretty normal now as she was going to continue calling him Charles so correcting her was normal.
Going back to eating he looked at her with a straight face the entire time she was laughing. He after all didn't see what she was laughing so hard about but on the inside he was laughing with her anyway. As the lights flickered on he seemed to be a little disturbed with the way they flickered back on and as a result he swallowed what he had in his mouth and walked over to the window of the apartment and carefully looked out of it. His cause for alarm seemed to fall though when he noticed nothing was wrong and just closed the curtains instead and looked back at Jocelyn putting in some sort of movie.
He was no movie watcher, he knew nothing about what movie she was putting in but he could quickly guess it was a chick flick, it usually was. He would just shut his mouth and agree to watch it. Certainly better then the nothing he had planned before that. Sitting back on the couch he started to ask her a few questions though. "How have you been lately? Everything fine? Nobody has been following you have they?" He knew if they have she would have told him long ago but he thought he'd ask her anyway. If there was anything suspicious going on he wanted to know, he felt it was part of his duty.

Jocie chuckled. She knew that he didn't like being called Charles, but she enjoyed the name. It made him sound like much more of the big teddy bear he was. Snipe just made him sound rude and crude. Which well, He was when he was with the gang. But with her, he could really be himself. She loved that about him. She also loved being the only one who got to see the loving caring Snipe. She decided to make him even happier then he was today.
Snipe closed the curtains and looked at her. "No Snipe, It's not a Chick Flick." she said smiling. She plopped down and waited for Snipe to come sit with her. He asked her his basic questions. "I've Been Great Like Usual Snipe." she said smiling up at him. She laughed. "Oh, Yeah. There was this weird guy following me yesterday on my way back from the grocery store." She said with a scared look on her face. Snipe had been with her yesterday, so she was going to mess with him. "He was oddly gorgeous, and just happens to be watching me right now." she said hoping he caught that it was him. He was a little slow sometimes.

At first she was concerned about what she was saying. Somebody was following her yesterday? He was with her, why didn't she point that out then so he could track down whoever this guy was? He sat up prepared to ask a lot of questions.
When she suddenly mentioned it was him and laughed about it his tension eased up quickly and he laughed back. "You know I am just looking out for you." He asked her that question every day since they had seen each other even when he knew the answer. He feared for her life for more then she did. And it wasn't her fault, he just deeply cared about her. So much that he even went beyond his mission of that week and was still here, which was clear by now.
Picking up the case of the DVD he looked at it and read the back cover out loud in his own words. "Two attractive guys go to cheer leading camp. Yeah cause you know that doesn't sound like a chick flick at all." He was being sarcastic there. Really she could watch any movie she wanted around him, not being a huge movie guy to begin with Snipe would watch anything and find it just about the same level of likeness. He was just teasing her.
As the movie started to play he snuggled closed to her by putting the side of his body against her and then his arm. "Tell me about your day. What did you do today?" He liked listening to her day. It made him think less about his and the dangerous things he did.

Jocie giggled as he figured out it was him that she was talking about. "Yes, Snipe, I know you are just looking out for me. And I am happy that I got you as my protector and not some other jacko jackass." she said with a wink. She cared about Snipe, sometimes she questioned how much. Sometimes she felt like she had some kind of feelings for him, but felt it best to push them to the back of her mind. She didn't want to mess up anything with him. He was the first real friend in her life since her fathers death.
"Dude, You know no matter what you are going to watch it." She said standing up on her knees. "Mainly because you love my ass so much." she added kissing his cheek. When he snuggled into her she felt her heart flutter for a faint second. She wrapped her arms around his torso and laid her head on his shoulder. Her face was right beside her neck. She giggled in her mind and licked him. She blew raspberries in front of her. "You taste Gross." she said snuggling closer to him.
"Hmm, today I did laundry. By the way a pair of your boxers is pink now. It kind of slipped into the color pile." She said hiding her face. "I also pumped up some jams and cleaned half naked. Along with taking a shower and being scared shitless by you." she continued with a smile.

He heard what the others had to say about the two of them but on the other hand he cared very little about what the others had to say unless it had a direct relation to him being in danger or preparing for some sort of gang activity. The majority of the members in the gang were young, being 22 actually made him one of the oldest members currently, and most of those young members held the maturity of an 8 year old, some of them didn't even have that level of education, so everything they had to say he took with a grain of salt. He knew they would be talking after all and perhaps he couldn't blame them. He barley told them anything, he mostly sat in a corner when at the headquarters thinking or studying to himself. Snipe was a very mysterious guy after all. "I taste of sweet sweet man."
When she said everything she did that day he realized she really hadn't done a whole lot that day. Perhaps that was why she called him over. "That's okay, tough men wear pink." It sort of made him wonder why she had a pair of his boxers to begin with. Sure he left a lot of clothes here but his boxers? He must have left them while changing to his all dark clothing before he went out on a gang mission another time. "... right?" Not that any girls would see his underwear unless they got under him anyway. Although he had the looks though he didn't have the personality to hook up with other women. He was to quiet and while his fellow gang members constantly went out to hook up with girls he found it easier to use one of their hookers. It was free after all as he saved a number of pimps life who promised him free service afterwords.
"That's all you did all day?" The night was starting to creep up and even on a calm day like today even he did more then just laundry and a shower. Actually he did neither but he still did a lot.

Sometimes Jocie wondered if Snipe was ever going to date someone. She wanted him to be happy. Well, she knew he was happy hanging out with her, but she wanted him to go out and see what options he had. "Well, If sweet men taste like you, I should stick to the bad boys." she said joking around with him. Snipe didn't know about anything that had happened with Kane. She wanted to keep it that way too, this was one thing that she just couldn't share with him.
Tough Men Wear Pink...Sure. Jocelyn laughed. "Sure Snipe, Tough Men Wear pink." she said rolling her eyes. She hated the saying. Pink was just a color. Who really cared. "Not like anyone will see them anyways. Unless you need to tell me that you've been sexually active." she said with a straight face. "Okay, I totally can't do that. It's just creepy. Sexually active." She shuddered at the words.
No I spent hours talking to Kane, and I can't tell you about it. She thought to herself. She hated not being able to tell Snipe things, but he would totally disown her. "Well, I went to the bookstore, and picked up a couple of books. And i grabbed a coffee. But other than that yep. It's been a pretty boring day in la casa de Jocie." she said smiling up at her friend.
